Recap of Show
This week Kim Vo joined the stylists for their short cut challenge, which was all about color. Each contestant was paired with a client who was looking for a dramatic new style. Each new look was then judged by how extreme of a transformation it was. After a generous four-hour window, Kim surveyed the vibrant ‘dos. Paulo and Nekisa came up short for not showing any dramatic difference, while Dee and Charlie were praised for their dynamic use of color. Charlie won immunity in the elimination for once again pushing the envelope. Instead of competing in the final challenge, he supervised the partnered stylists.
In the elimination challenge the stylists were assigned to work in pairs. Each duo was charged with styling three women to look like one of each of the original Charlie’s Angels. Stylists needed to reinvent the ‘70s looks of host Jaclyn Smith, Farrah Fawcett and guest judge Kate Jackson. The judges weren’t pleased with the outcome. After short deliberation, they decided there was no winner for this week. None of the clients looked edgy, daring or fresh. Glenn and Nekisa fared the worst in the judges’ eyes, but it was Glenn’s stiff, matronly take on Jaclyn’s look that sent her packing.
This week’s “how to get the look” from Roy
Sometimes you really can’t improve on the original! For a modern take on this angel’s heavenly look, make sure you build body and movement into your style.
- Start style in the shower with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Try Nexxus Therappe and Nexxus Humectress for added shine.
- Apply a body boosting mousse, like Nexxus Mousse Plus all over.
- Create a center part and blow-dry hair using a large, round brush to help add volume and movement. Curl the ends around the brush and hold the dryer over top for a few seconds; this will help set the wave.
- After blow drying, flip hair upside down and tousle locks with your fingers to help separate and loosen the structure of your style.
- Finish look by spraying entire head with a light-hold hairspray, like Nexxus 360˚ Volume.
